Both industries hold half of the solution to the puzzle, and they have to figure out how to best work together. Content is king, but <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ndorra\/status\/700207122080993280\">discoverability<\/a> is the key to the kingdom. If you can&#8217;t unlock it, no-one&#8217;s going to see it &#8211; but it doesn&#8217;t matter how many keys you got if they lead you to\u00a0a boring king (ok, I might have beaten that horse to death now&#8230;).<\/p>\n<p>Many companies will make big bets on proprietary technology or content production teams this year, and\u00a0the rewards looming at the end of the rainbow are so <a href=\"http:\/\/www.streamingmedia.com\/Articles\/Editorial\/Featured-Articles\/The-State-of-Mobile-Video-2015-102722.aspx\">huge<\/a>, that no big player can afford to &#8216;reserve the right to play&#8217; anymore.\u00a0Creative approaches that utilize the native features of a tech platform, like the &#8216;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fastcompany.com\/3056543\/most-creative-people\/the-15-second-films-taking-instagram-by-storm\">Shield 5<\/a>&#8216; story <a href=\"http:\/\/instagram.com\/shieldfive\/\">unfolding right now<\/a>\u00a0on Instagram, are a great seeding ground for bigger initiatives &#8211; don&#8217;t be surprised when Instagram recruits Anthony Wilcox to head a newly founded native content unit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After taking a timeout for Kidscreen last week, here&#8217;s my 5th prediction for 2016: The relationship between content creators\u00a0and tech companies leveraging that\u00a0content can be a tricky one.
