Moonstruck is a documentary about following your heart and doing what feels right in spite of the status quo. At the finnish production company Energia director Timo Vuorensola and producer Samuli Torssonen do just that. Their story is an inspiring statement on what can be achieved through total dedication and the spirit of community. But how do they see their position in a very conservative industry? What makes them tick? Watch Moonstruck to find out!

Project status:
We’ve shot some research material (in other words interviews) with Timo and are planning the script. We hope to catch some making-of shots of Energia’s latest film Iron Sky in spring 2010.

Delivery for Moonstruck is scheduled for late spring 2010.

Choices is a short film about, you guessed it, choices. This is the first project for Nick Dorra Productions to venture outside animation, but it will probably not be the last. Let’s see how much fun this gets, I’ll decide later.

Current status
Principal photography has wrapped, it was a blast! Thanks to everyone on the crew. The film is in post-production is now finally in the last stages of editing. It’s taken a while due to more important projects taking precedence, but we’re getting there. Some sort of premiere will definately take place this autumn.

What’s up? is a short film written, directed and largely created by Meruan Salim. During the day Meruan works at Anima Vitae studios, at night he ventures into the world you see above, to bring you the adventures of the main protagonist, Huuhaa.

The logline of the film is “What goes around, comes around” and that’s actually all we’re going to say about the contents. At approximately 5 minutes more info would just spoil it for you

Cramps and strains is a 20 x 1,5 minute series based on the longest running finnish comic strip of the same name. It is aimed at a 15-35 year audience and is animated with Flash.

About the comic
The comic has been written by Pauli Kallio since 1991 and Christer Nuutinen has been the artist for the lion’s share of the stories. Seven albums and hundreds of strips have been published, the current venue for the new one-page strips is Suomen Kuvalehti.
